Breakfast Smoothie Bowl
1/4 cup of milk (any kind)
1 cup frozen berries
1 tablespoon chia seeds
1 tablespoon protein powder or 2 tablespoons of nut butter
Fresh, frozen or dried fruit, hemp seeds, coconut thread, cacao nibs, freeze dried fruit, nuts, seeds, buckwheat crunch (recipe below) sweetener of choice (optional)
Combine milk, berries, banana, chia seeds & protein powder or nut butter in a blender until smooth. You may need to add a little more liquid to get a smooth blend. Pour into a bowl and add any toppings you like for a refreshing, nourishing breakfast.
Preheat oven to 180˚C. Line a tray with baking paper and add 1/2 cup raw buckwheat and 1 tablespoon maple syrup. Stir to combine and bake for 5-8 minutes, stirring after 4 minutes. Watch closely after 5 minutes, remove from oven when golden and cool.
